Why this exists
When I moved from a public school into international education, I walked into a world that assumed I already knew things nobody had ever taught me. Inquiry-based learning. Conceptual questions. Transdisciplinary thinking. These phrases were handed to me like instructions written in a language I did not speak yet.
I remember asking what a conceptual question actually was. The response I got was another conceptual question. I felt like a puppy chasing its own tail. Working hard, moving fast, getting nowhere. All of this was happening in countries where I did not speak the language, far from colleagues who might have helped, before the internet had much to offer beyond Teacher Pay Teachers, Twinkl, Pinterest, and Sparklebox.
I built lessons from scratch. I figured things out through trial, frustration, and the occasional small victory. I grew. Not because the system supported me. In spite of it.
That experience built resilience. It also built a great deal of unnecessary frustration. There were people out there who knew things that would have helped me. There were frameworks, ideas, and approaches that would have made my early years so much less lonely. Nobody connected me to them.
That is what I set out to change.
Most resources give you knowledge without context. A book is a one-way conversation. A webinar is a download, not a dialogue. Neither builds a community. Neither changes what happens on Monday morning.
There are so many educators out there with sound knowledge and genuine care who are still stuck, not because they lack ability, but because the resources that exist are not built for how people actually learn and grow. Too abstract. Too isolated. Too disconnected from the real complexity of a school.
This membership exists because I believe educators deserve a community that meets them where they are, grows with them over time, and connects their learning to the real conditions of their school. Not a course. Not a webinar series. A place to belong.
